School Uniform Sewing Training

The School Uniform Sewing Training Program equips individuals with essential skills to start a sustainable small business. With school uniforms in constant demand, participants learn accurate measuring, cutting, stitching, and finishing to produce quality, affordable, and customized uniforms for their communities.

The School Uniform Sewing Training Program was held at the Livelihood Development Center, Rideemaliyadda, on March 19th, 20th, 26th, and 31st, 2025. The training equipped participants with essential skills in measuring, cutting, and sewing school uniforms, focusing on both quality and efficiency.

Hands-on training covered the stitching of:

  • White frocks
  • White shirts
  • Blue shorts with zippers
  • Official shorts without zippers

The program aimed to build practical tailoring skills, enabling participants to start sustainable small businesses by meeting the consistent local demand for school uniforms.
