A Birthday Cake Production Training Programme was successfully held on May 25, 2025, at the Rideemaliyadda Livelihood Development Center. The training was designed to provide participants with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in baking and decorating birthday cakes.

The session covered essential topics such as cake batter preparation, baking techniques, frosting and icing methods, decorative finishes, and hygiene practices in food handling. Special focus was given to creativity in design and cost-effective production techniques suitable for small-scale business ventures.

The primary aim of the programme was to support self-employment, enhance home-based income opportunities, and develop skills in the growing bakery and confectionery sector. By the end of the training, participants were equipped with the confidence and competence to produce professional-quality birthday cakes for personal or commercial use.
