A cupcake training session was conducted on 23rd October 2025 at the Rideemaliyadda Livelihood Development Center with the aim of enhancing the bakery and entrepreneurial skills of local participants. The program was organized to promote self-employment opportunities and income generation among community members, particularly targeting women and youth interested in small-scale food production.
The session covered both theoretical and practical aspects of cupcake making, including:
- Basic baking techniques and ingredient measurements
- Preparation of different types of cupcake batter and frosting
- Hygiene and food safety practices
- Packaging and presentation methods
- Cost calculation and small business management tips
Participants actively engaged in hands-on training and were given the opportunity to bake cupcakes during the workshop. At the end of the program, participants shared positive feedback, expressing their enthusiasm to start home-based bakery ventures using the skills gained.
